I was surprised to see that the base price of the Impala cost a lot more than the 'bu. The Impala was one of my older company cars also and it's getting long in the tooth.

Why is it more, standard V6? My current company car the 2011 Malibu only has the little 2.4L 4 banger, it definitely has it's struggles accelerating uphill. I do like the 'bu styling inside and outside a lot more.

Correct. It will have the 3.6L V6, but it will be a new variant (LFX) making 302 HP and 252 TQ.
