I was wondering if it was possible to put a glasspack (aka cherry bomb) on a 2001 Malibu, since the stock muffler has the inlet and outlet on the same side...

i wouldn't do it. it'll sound real ricer-like imo..it'll sound like the "fart can" sound you hear on civics and neons all the time

I know its not going to sound good like some v8 truck or an old muscle car but it will sound better than some 4 banger with a fart can. Theres not really any muffler out there to buy to throw on that are made for a malibu that is inexpensive and I already have a 2" glasspack lying around.

i still wouldnt do it just because it IS a glasspack. glasspacks sound like shit on 4 bangers. im not trying to be a buzzkill but i dont think you want people looking at your car for the wrong reasons lol just stick with stock..or get a cat back system, its expensive but its better in the long run.
