I have been into a Chevy dealership to diagnose the problem with my car. I was told that I needed a new fuel pump and alternator. I have since, fixed these items and my car is still stalling when I stop fast. Also, when I give it gas from a complete stop, my car seems like it is not receiving enough gas and I have to step on the gas hard so my car doesn't stall. Anybody help me with a solution????

Hm. Does the stalling happen at all stops, or just "hard" stops?

If i were to throw out a complete wild guess, i'd say the torque converter lockup solenoid isn't releasing or is releasing late/slowly. This would mean when you hit the brake, the clutch doesn't disengage and the RPMs are drug down by the car slowing.

When you then go from a dead stop, the lockup might happen abruptly and try to stall like in a manual transmission.

But this should have been something that 1) the dealer scanned for and 2) wouldn't be misdiagnosed as a fuel pump, i'd hope.
