There is an article on Motor Trends website today about the new Malibu. The mention the possibility of an an upcoming Malibu SS and have this picture....

Well if Chevy does indeed come out with this SS version of the BU and it has respectible hp over 200 then I'm sold. I like it! My next car must have some power behind it. Anything less than 200 horses I can't do it no more.

In the article they do not confirm anything, but an engineer on the program says something to the effect of "stay tuned, the future will be interesting." They talk about how they would probably use the 270-hp 2.0L turbo engine from the Regal GS.

I have been tossing around in my head what I want for my next car. I really like the Camaro, but am not sure if I am willing to give up the room a 4-dr provides. But if they come out with this......no more issue. This will be my next car in a heartbeat.

I am sure it is a photo shop. I don't think they would use the same style wheels as the Camaro, but I really like how the front end has sported up.

This definatley steps the Bu up a notch... I am sure they will have it with a turbo 4... I guess time will tell.

I would be tempted to replace my current 'Bu with one, but regardless my next car purchase is going to be a Gen5 Camaro either fully loaded SS or ZL1.

I think it looks awesome. The front bumper looks a little odd to me though.

I wouldn't hold my breath, it would be all cosmetics with big wheels and for the price i'd rather have a Buick :D

Good luck with that. The days of V8's and larger are going to be limited to higher-end, more expensive cars it looks like.

OK, how about a 2 door coupe with a high performance V6, sport suspension, ground effects, and a tuned exhaust? HUD and red interior gauge lights would be cool also.:D

they will probably do it but not as extreme as the one in the pic. also i am sure there will be an RS package like the cruze. guessing they will use the direct injection 304 hp V6 out of the camaro or a ecotec turbo pushing 280 hp but.......it will be 35k+
