Dear douglas92000,

I have read your post about the rear differential ratio. Unfortunately, I do not have this information. I do have access to the gear ratio and things of that nature, but no rear differential information.

The final drive ratio for the Hydra-Matic 6T70 6 speed automatic transmission for the 2009 model year is 2.77.

If there is other information that you are seeking, you might want to contact your local Chevrolet dealership for this. They should be able to provide you with the specific information that you are seeking for your vehicle.

I hope that you have a great weekend.

Michelle,
Please note that even though he misspoke about the car having a "rear" differential it was not that far off. RWD cars have a differential just like FWD, but the common or slang term for it has been "rear end" for decades.

So, what he's looking for is the ratio between the transmission output shaft and the axles, aka the differential gear ratio. Loosely it can be called the rear end because those of us who are familiar with cars know that he means the differential and that his FWD doesn't have a rear axle and therefore no "rear end" as such. But we know and I'm sure that's what he meant.

Do you have access to the gear ratios for each of the 6 gears in both the I4 and V6, and can you provide the differential ratio for each engine?
