My Malibu has the arm rest in the back. While at the local pull and save I noticed something. Not all the Bu's had that. Was it an option?

Yes it was.

What - you have the fold down rear seat AND the armrest both? That's a combo I've not seen. Ever.

Well I feel mighty special then. I have both of them, also a VIN J 3100 in a 99 lol. I was wondering where I could find an option list for my car so I can find out exactly what mine has. I want to put a factory sunroof in mine but it must be pretty rare, because I haven't seen many if any.

I didn't think ANY of them had a rear armrest. I've never seen one on the road or in the JY. I just learned something today haha :D

Our 97 had the armrest. I can't remember whether the seat split or not though.

My wife just told me that ours had both too (better memory than me :P ). She reminded me that the material was coming on the split side of the wider seat, whenever we traded our car. The lack of an armrest is one of those things I didn't like with my 2008 too, but as narrow as it is compared to the 97, I can see why.

I just took for granted that mine has both

Mine has neither, currently.

Oh, well. Guess while I'm in Tyler TX tomorrow I'll be walking Loco Gringos and seeing what they have.

Ayep. $3 entry fee, and it's a heavily GM yard.

Seems that GM trucks and cars (in that order!) are the favored vehicles of the Mexican-speaking people in that part of Texas.

Correction: Locos Gringos, and it's now $2 entry.

They had four Gen5 Malibus and one Gen5 Cutlass.

I think they were talking about me - I was the only pasty white boy there yesterday :D

That's how I feel going to Spaldings here. Never would of thought the Pacific Northwest had so many Latinos.
