Hello again, all. A little while ago I posted an introduction saying that I was going to be a Malibu owner soon, but my searching was pretty broad still.

Well anyway, some time has passed, and the hunt is on...I now know exactly what I want and just thought I'd share! It may not be mine, but this is exactly what my car will look like. My local dealer is on the hunt at auctions for me.

2008 or 2009 LTZ, 3.6 V6 of course. Less than 60,000 miles, and in black. Those were my only conditions. I think the LTZ's look best in black, although they look really good in any color honestly.

The only thing I'm unsure of is which color interior I will get. It seems like most of the black ones have the black/brick interior but some have the cocoa/cashmere as well. I like both so it really isn't a big deal. Two completely different moods for the interior though.

I guess I don't really have to show you guys the interior since you know what they look like, but there it is...

Very excited, can't wait until it's in the driveway.

Oh don't worry, I will. ;)

The funds are secured! Serious Bu shopping is starting tomorrow. I'll be working daily with the dealer scouring the auction site to find the right one. I expect I'll have my Bu within a week. Super excited.

Things are going well!

Michelle, I don't know how well connected you are to the main body or dealer network of GM but I'd like to put out there that Lynch Chevrolet-Cadillac of Auburn, AL has been very helpful in getting me in the Malibu I want and making sure that I will be satisfied and confident with my purchase. Particularly Pete Ramage and Robert May (sales associates) and Arthur Cooper (sales manager). Just felt like they deserved some recognition. I'd probably be lost or settling for something less than what I wanted if they hadn't gone out of their way to help me find the perfect ride and made sure that I will be confident in what I buy. GM Certified Pre-Owned is a great program.

As it is, we still haven't found it yet. Apparently the auctions are only open Monday through Friday, but Pete is going to look at what's listed for me and let me know, so hopefully I can get something worked out on Monday.

On Friday we found an 08 LTZ with 38,000 miles that seemed really nice. Hoping it didn't sell and has been relisted. Cocoa/Cashmere interior in Imperial Blue Metallic. At first I wasn't sure about it but the more I looked the more I like the color, so it's a possibility.

I bought my ride! It's on it's way as we speak.

No pictures of the exact car yet as I do not have access to the dealer auction site, but it is a 2008 LTZ in Silverstone Metallic with the Ebony/Brick interior. Flawless condition. There's even a bonus...the windows are already tinted! That appears to be the only modification performed. That's good for me, as it saves me the trouble of doing it...I had planned to tint the windows eventually...

Pics of mine to come soon!
