Not necessarily. There is a big demand for snow tires and steel wheels in our area during the fall so we probably get better pricing. Dalecon and I are in Ontario but in the next province over, Quebec, it is mandatory to have snow tires from December 15th to March 15th.
I paid $75 plus tax each for mine and it was during the fall. I think Dalecon bought his after the winter so he got a better deal.
ding dng ding, in fact it was Northern Bu who suggested that I go to the dealer to get them. The other thing was I asked my delaer for a quote for winter tires and rims, then said hmm no thanks for the tires but will take the rims at that price....will proably go buy my winter tires from the dealer next month though, to show my appreciation, plus the quote they gave me is the same price as Costco lol.

Hmm, that kind of makes me mad, so they "normally" mark them up a billion percent at retail pricing? Lol. Man they are raping people.
They have huge mark up on parts. Because I visit them fairly regularly they often quote me a price that is comparable to online, and then "wow me" with what they will sell it to me for. Its a game, and sometimes I'll get a parts guy that won't give me the lower price so then I go up to my salesman and have him come down to let the guy know that yest I bought a car here and they make enough money off of me already.
I knew the steel wheels where a steal (sorry had to). Thats why I bought them back in march and have had them sitting in my living room, have to get some rubber on them soon though, but like I said the dealer first quoted me about $1300 and the price that they wrote down was about $900.

Glad I found this I hit a chunk of asphalt this morning and bent my rim up but of course a the dealers are closed on Saturday. Wish one of you guys with ones for sale lived close guess I'll have to wait till Monday to find out the damage from my dealer.
That is a high price for a steel wheel, but normal for a dealer. Seems as though down here we get charged a lot more for the steel wheels than those of you up in Canada.

I think that has a lot to do with the market for them. Most people carry two set of wheels, ie. I have my 18 chrome techs and then the 17" steelies with winters on them, likely selling a lot more here.
