When driving in wet weather, sometimes my car won't go over 20 mph and I get a msg about traction and reduced power to engine. The brakes get VERY touchy and even have locked up. I live in Texas, doesn't rain or get cold very often. This is when it happens. It is very scary!
The reduced engine power message comes from the throttle actuator control (TAC) system. It is usually resolved by replacing the throttle body but it could also be a TAC harness issue.
We're sorry you're encountering this reduced engine power concern, c4715. Let us know if you decide to visit the dealership to get this looked into as we're available to work with you through that process.
