The sticky tape that came on the mount started coming unstuck causing the GPS to droop a little and become not as solidly mounted.
I scraped off all the old tape then went out to my garage and got some 3M side molding tape that I used on my motorcycle to stick some trim to my air cleaner. I had also used it to mount a beer can tab to my oil filter which gets hot as hell and the 3M tape never failed.
I cut the 3M tape to size and stuck it to the now cleaned off mount then stuck it back on the car vent trim. Seems to be holding a little tighter than the original tape. We'll see how it holds up.
Of all the places to mount a GPS, the lower left corner of the window is the best in my opinion. It sit low enough to not obstruct my vision at all but is still in full view.
