Rear fog lights are an extra set of lights on the back of the car that are red and illuminate as brightly as brake lights. They are separate from all the other lights so they are not mistaken for the brake lights.
A few cars here in the US have them. They turn on with the front fog lights. I'm sure they're there so the back of the vehicle can be detected in inclement weather.

OK. Thanks again guys for the info. I know that in european version there is two switches in the light switch. One for the front fog lights and one for the rear fog lights. I just didn't know where the rear fog light is.
But hey, I got good news! I have my new love on friday.
Fog lights in the rear? Weird, never heard of that.
Those have been compulsory for many years in Finland. In heavy snow storm it's easier to see the car in front of you if that has brighter red light than the normal lights in the rear of a car.
