Also, not sure if you're sold on sundown or Fi but I can get you some brand new SKAR VVX-12s for a solid price. They get pretty nasty IMO, don't get the numbers the SAs do but sound better on the lows and all that fun stuff.

Why dont you get 4 10" Bazooka Tubes. I had two in a Ford Escape. DVC wired off a Sony XM1000. LOUD. Now they make 12" Tubes.

I could look on amazon, just now looking for a prefab, i want my 33 hz and 4 cubes (2 per sub) but thank you for the suggestion!

The VVXs look promising \, just am worried that they are going to be used daily on 2400 watts and from what i heard you dont get much difference in output when going much over RMS, but could be wrong. This is why i am deciding not to go with the SA12s. Just dont want to end up with expensive paperweights =P and as far as the insulation board, this sounds like a solid idea, however will cutting it on a table saw shred it to pieces since it looks like styrofoam(sp?)? and i guess i would just use like wood glue? and slide it in until it stops and measure front back of the top to the point where it stopped. God i cant wait for the box to just be in my trunk already my prefab, after calculating the numbers is tuned to 40hz with 1.55 cubes per sub 0_0 so im sure a 33hz box with 3.45 cubes will make a good difference, right? (3.7 is with my current box design, but again im aiming for 4 cubes).
Plus VVXs would save me like $224... more than the cost of an extra VVX too bad i dont have the room for 3.... *sigh*

You could simply use cardboard too. Just cut a piece the height and depth and see if it slips in

Terrific Idea.... Wish I would have though of the at sooner... I just took the car to the shop to get it fixed... Great... Now I'm in a crummy Toyota corolla rental... Stock audio of course so I'm about to cry when I have to make that 30 min trip to work this afternoon :-/

Made the box!!! Looks great!!! But forgot the opening slims down toward the back of the trunk opening so it won't fit.... And yes, I am furious -_-
