Default Dash pad beginning to warp around top center compartment

Just noticed today in my wife's '11 Malibu with black interior, that the dash pad around the upper center compartment is about 1/4 inch higher in one place at the windshield-end of the compartment, than in other places around the compartment door. I never noticed this before.

Is there a way to glue this down somehow? Has anyone else noticed this on theirs?

The car won't be three years old until May 31, but of course with 41K miles it's out of warranty (sigh). Having had a similar issue in the past I know this will only get more pronounced with time.

Thanks!

My pad is only maybe an 1/8" higher there, but almost every Gen 7 Malubu I've seen, ( I looked at at least 30 before buying mine this January) had the same thing, and it seemed like the black ones were more prevalent. Perhaps from heat on the dash in the sun.

Mine is a 2011 with black interior and also does the same thing, in the same spot. Can't help on what to do about it.
