I am trying to locate the iac valve on this engine and am embarrassed to say I'm having no luck. Can someone please help me on this one?

Is it electric throttle? If so, it won't have one.

That is, is there a cable to inside the passenger compartment, or not? If so, the IAC will be in the same general vicinity as the throttle plate. If not, well, it's all handled by the ECU and there is no IAC.

Thank you! I came to the conclusion yesterday that it didn't exist even though my parts supply store adamently suggested it did. However, I would've never known to associate it with the throttle type. Much appreciated.

Interesting how the part just has to be there 'cuz the book sez so! I guess they've never run into a situation where the book was wrong.

Oops! Now they have.

But will they recognize that? Or admit it?

Depends on the parts guy.

The local O'Reilly's knows that if I say "No, it doesn't have a frammelstat", then I know what I'm talking about. Usually ;)

When I upgraded my frammelstat to a forgenmister I used a left-hand spiral tapered flute reamer that they loaned me.
