I would like to see if u guys can help me out with an issue I have with me car. I have an 09' chevy malibu 2.4L the check engine light is on, I ran it throught autozone to see the reason for the check engine light to be on. That stated, in was due to intake camshaft sensor, code is P0010. There are two camshaft sensors, one in front of the cylinder block and in the back as well. My question is, which one is for the intake sensor? I checked both connectors n they are fine, both are conneted as they should be and not damaged. Any help would do. Thx! -Kels

DTC P0010: Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Control Circuit

That code typically means the cmp actuator solenoid valve (or it's wire harness) has a problem. You need to take any info you get from an autozone clerk with a grain of salt. Always verify it for yourself.

Most of your questions will be answered by reading this recent thread:

Measure the resistance of the intake cmp actuator solenoid valve across the pins. Should be 5-9 ohms on that MY 2.4 engine. Then check resistance bet each pin & the housing. Should not be infinite (shorted).
