Hey guys, I just bought some CRC throttle body spray for my 2003 malibu but have zero experience ever cleaning one.

I was wondering who has done one on this car and any precautions to take. I have read that you can create problems with the computer if it's not done the right way.

I have 122k mile on the car and just did a spark plug change, new pcv valve, new air filter, breaks and calipers, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, belt, idle pulley, and tensioner pulley so I wanna tackle the throttle body since it's never been done by myself.

When I did mine,(2004 LT) I cut a prop the length between the gas pedal and the steering column with the pedal all the way to the floor. That way with the key in the run position the plate will be open all the way and can be wiped clean with a rag sprayed with cleaner. I am told it is not a good idea to open the plate by force as that could cause problems with the throttle body control motor. Mine didn't have an IAC, but i did clean the MAF sensor.
