Default Alloy wheel damage

I hit a curb and damaged one of my wheels on my malibu just want your guys opinion is this damage worth getting fixed.

Massive curb rash on the lip of my rim:


Tire that was on this rim was missing a chunk from the sidewall, too.

I went with 225/55/17 tires which stick out past the rims a bit, hopefully protecting the rims in the future...

If it were me, I would buy some clear coat touch up, touch up the bare spots, maybe even use some really fine sandpaper/polishing cloth after you do that, and call it good. Main thing is seal up the crack so the aluminum doesn't oxidize and corrode worse.

Jason464, It is not a reasonable amount of money to have it fixed they want around $200.00. I can get new rim for $130.00 on ebay no point getting it fixed will just keep it way it is.

Steve AZ,I am replacing that damage wheel with another one found on ebay for only $60.00 could not pass it up so buyed it today.
