Default Illuminated Bowtie on 'Bu Trunk?

Looking for input...

Has anybody done this? I think it would look cool. I was wondering about costs, time, trouble, benefits, kit availability, etc.

Thanks!

It would be cool. Would have to cut a hole in the trunk for the wires to go through. Should be able to find an illuminated bowtie to put there.

The only one I've ever seen was bigger than I'd want to see on our trunks, but it looked pretty neat.

Next question: How do you service it if/when any of the lights go out?

I Have seen a couple that looked cool, one of them changed light colors randomly. But I never paid attention to the sizes of them to be honest.

As far as servicing though, I didn't think that far ahead yet.

I also wondered about a tie-in to the third brake light, but I didn't know if that is legal or practical.

Actually, now that I see it in that link, that doesn't look too bad.

That light does not look like it would be too hard to wire up.

Looks pretty decent! I just might get one, but only if the prices come down. The link above shows it to be $139.
