Coming from a very well worn 2001 Pontiac GP with 181k on the clock. Very good workhorse but it was getting up there in miles and was pretty plain inside. Had it for 10 years and put 130 on it, ran great, hated even to see it go.
I also have a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V 400 hp LS-6 6 Speed
1991 Z-28 Camaro fully worked, interior, 6 speed swap, paint, wheels, 355cu with an Holley Stealth ran intake set-up
2004 Caviler LT (daughter)
1998 Contour SVT V-6 with a 3.0L swap (Tarus swap) (Son)
Wife had a 1997 Trans Sport that died with a blown head gasket, it had 140 k on it, so we upgrade that to a used 2012 Traverse LT AWD with 8500 miles.
That's what drove us to get the Malibu, it was sitting next to the Traverse. I have been looking at Malibu's for a while, was gonna swap out the GP anyway next year, but did not plan on the van dying, so that moved that whole thing up a little.
Anyway, I am also retired military (24 years Air Force Acft maintenance and C-5 Loadmaster). Car guy, pilot (1800 hrs, several ratings, multi instructor, A&P).
Have a question. We have a wing off of a Malibu (the body before this one) that we had on the contour (actually fit real nice) and it looks like it would fit real good on the Malibu we just got. Anyone ever done this?
