Kudos for Dealer / Recall Notification

Took the new LT1 (2.5L) into the shop on Sat. for it's first oil change. Decided to spring for full synthetic dexos 1 (yes, I know I don't have to if I'm following the OLM, but it makes me more comfortable ).

Had great service other than they were backed up quite a bit because everyone and their dog brought their cars in for holiday travel I guess... I wasn't in a hurry and they were forthcoming, so no big deal.

What really impressed me, though, was that they caught and addressed a recall on the 2.5L regarding a possible backward connector on the knock sensor. I hadn't even heard about it yet, so didn't know to ask.

Just thought I'd post this to 1. let others know about this possible knock sensor issue as a heads-up, and 2. give kudos to the dealer I went to: Husker Auto Group in Lincoln, NE.

Mzodarg: According to the service report, it was Recall 12292 "Knock Sensor Wiring Connection".

Michelle, that would be fine. I also hope someone at GM hears about it, too. Marty, Pete, and the other people there in service represent the brand well.
