Recall for shift indicator

I was just looking at my January On-Star diagnostic report and there is an alert for a recall on my 2010 LS.

Campaign #: 2012106
SHIFT LEVER INDICATOR MAY NOT DISPLAY CORRECT GEAR

This only affects '08-'10 4 speed models.

What exactly are they doing for this recall?

If the clip has not fractured they will place a clamshell over it to relieve the stress on it. If it is showing stress cracks they will replace the shifter cable with the new clip design.

I'm taking my '08 to the shop at 1:00 pm today. I hope it doesn't take too long.

Mine was done in 15 min.
Wish they washed the car after the snow melted and the car was white from salt.
Just wound of been a nice touch.

Did you get a Notice in the mail recently? My only notice was a month or 2 ago.
