My wife has a 09 Malibu 2LT and the check engine light has come one and is showing the trouble code PO128. I have replaced the coolant temperature sensor with an ac delco unit but code continues to come on. Temp gauge also does not work while light is on. The car has 66xxx miles. Hopefully someone can give me an idea what to try next. Is this something that would be covered under warranty? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Are you only getting lukewarm air from the vents when the heater is on full blast? If so, replace the engine coolant thermostat. If not, you have an issue in the engine temp sensor circuit (wiring or connections).
Heater blowes good hot air. I will look for connection problems. There is probably no way that this would be covererd under the powertrain warranty right?

Not a wiring/circuit issue, no. Start with the connector that attaches to the sensor.
If you would like for us to get you more information on what would be covered by the powertrain warranty, please send your inquiry and the last 8 digits of your VIN to us either via private message or email.
