Default spare tire for 2013 Malibu Eco

an someone tell me the spare tire size for a 2013 Malibu Eco with 17" rims? If someone bought the $100 option with the spare, any info would help. Mine came without a spare, and I'd like to get one from another vehicle in a junkyard. The $500 for a spare, jack, handle, etc. is crazy. The new Malibu has a bolt pattern of 120mm, while the earlier Malibu's (like my previous 2009) had a 110mm bolt pattern. I can easily get a jack, I'd just like to get the spare tire.

Thanks

Don't look for a spare on an Eco because none of them came with a spare and I don't believe it was even an option.

I was told if you order the Eco, the spare tire and jack is a $100 dollar option. If you order it as an over the counter part, it's $500. In my limited research some BMW's came with a 17" inch spare with a 120mm bolt pattern. I may try and see if one of these will work, or see if a full size tire will work as a spare and fit in the wheelwell.

If you go to the Chevy site and build one you will see there is no option for a spare tire for the LS, Eco 1Sa and 2SA nor the 1LT. It appears the 2LT and above come with the spare.

Hmm it shows on the Chevrolet website that the spare is standard on a 2LT.
They might have made a change after you bought yours just like they did with mine. After I bought ours they started including the body side molding as part of the Power and Convenience package.
Seems like they have made quite a few changes through the 2013 model year.

Thumbs down Re: spare tire for 2013 Malibu Eco

Spencer Chevrolet did not tell me there was no spare tire and did not offer a $100 option. That's the last Chevy I buy.
