Default Disable seat belt chime

Does anybody know how to do it? It usually involves a certain sequence of buckling and unbuckling and turning the ignition key at certain points.

Most of us? Hmmm.... I think most of us wear our seatbelts.

If Chevy made it easy to defeat, they're open more lawsuits by the families of people who get half ejected from an overturning car (yuck).

Notice how the seatbelt keeps driver's head from bypassing the airbag .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5GJEx-tQSI

But I digress... old habits die hard.

End of sermon

Its the chime volume, its outrageously loud. The chime itself is fine, I wear my seatbelt 100% of the time. However, the turn signal indicator chime and door chime seem to have been programmed for geriatrics.

There is a "Chime Volume" setting buried in DIC Personalization menu on the 2013's. I think it has only normal or high settings. If yours is set to high maybe going to normal would solve your problem.

You may have to dig out your owners manual to figure out exactly where it is and how to access and change the setting.

Already went that route. Normal is too loud and Loud is Earth Shattering loud.

Ok, understood.

To solve the issue of the loud chime, could you simply not cause the chime in the first place? Get in, connect belt, turn key. My guess is you get it, turn key, hear chime, then connect belt.

The only time I ever hear the chime is when one particular passenger gets in my car and doesn't connect his belt before I turn the key.
