Post Wiring a Overhead DVD/Monitor TV Problems

First off, Hi everyone Im Steven Im new to this. I have an 09 and a 01 Malibu. I have read and been able to fix my door lock problem from this forum and like how helpful everyone is.

The problem Im having is I got a DVD player TV combo for my car for the kids, and it doesn't come with very good instructions. I have to connect to a door switch because the player replaces the dome light and has one built in it. I also have a ground, 12volt+, and an ACC+. The dome light has 4 wires on it. a Hot, Grnd, and the other two wire from what I can figure out have to be touching to work. If they are touching they will go from positive to negative when the door opens. I dont wanna mess anything up wiring this in. Any suggestion on what to use for my door switch wire. I dont know if I should tap all my wires into the dome light wires or if I should run all new wires. If im running all new one I know what to do with all of them except for the door switch wire. Any help would be appreciated.

Im doing all this in my 09 Lt Malibu

Thanks

Moved from "Problems" area since this is a DIY modification you're attempting.

Follow this link for schematics. They are for the 2008 model but the rest of the Gen7 models are the same or similar enough that you can find your way.

DropBox link:

If you choose to get your own DropBox tell them I sent you and I'll get a little extra storage.
