Default ABS light keeps coming on

Just as the title says, that annoying orange light keeps coming on. Anyways, it mostly does it when it's wet out. Now when I find a safe spot to park I turn the car off and the light doesn't come back on when it turn the car on again. So what I was thinking, with nearly 107,000 miles on it, maybe the sensors could use a good cleaning. So this afternoon I looked at the back of the brakes to check things out. All the wiring is intact and fine, my question is, how on earth do you get the sensor to clean it? I know a rag would be fine to clean it with, but how to get to it. Do I need to take the wheels off... I hope I don't have to take the brakes apart to get to it. Anyways, any feedback would be great. Thank you all.

I've never heard of doing such thing. The bearing/hub assemblies with ABS I've seen were not serviceable. You need to get the code read out. There should be historical DTC(s) even if the light were presently off.

BTW, in case it's a wiring problem, see the diagram at http://cid-54465800aad91b49.office.l...b/va173356.pdf.

I've heard and seen the sensors being cleaned. I just want to know how to access them.
