Leave the door open and about 10-15 minutes later the battery monitor thingy will turn them off.

I think everything cuts off at exactly ten minutes.

You can't open the door and use the headlight control to manually shut them off?

If no switch at the dome light you can't. My old 04 Malibu had a switch.

Have you looked at the dome light itself, there should be a switch right in the center.
On Constant / On when doors open / Off Constant

JeffreyRosskopf,
I have read your posts about being able to turn off the interior lights when you open the doors of your 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. I am exhausting my resources about this information for you. Please, allow me up to 48 hours to research this on your behalf.
