Default MAP Sensor codes and service traction/ESC messages - related?

I've got a 2010 2.4L with about 11,500 miles on it that in recent days has started showing intermittent service traction/ESC messages that either go away just as soon as they're displayed or once I get moving at a decent speed - they'll occasionally stay on if I'm just driving through the grocery store parking lot or something until I pull out onto the main road. Then, two days ago, I got the Check Engine light and the car started to stumble a bit when pulling out of driveways. Fittingly, the light went out as I was driving it to the dealership to get it checked out, but they did discover two MAP sensor-related fault codes (EDIT: It's codes P0106 and P0107, if you were wondering). Then, running errands this evening, the Check Engine light reappeared and it was stumbling worse than before - if I took my foot off the gas while going 40, you could feel it jerk a little bit, and it was jerky the whole way up my driveway. Is it possible that these are products of the same electrical fault? I've seen posts about fretting, and that seems to be a likely culprit if I had to guess.

By the way, awesome forum community you've got going here. I've already seen a few things on here that I'd like to ask my dealer about when I take it in tomorrow...namely, that hump behind the storage compartment on top of the dash. I wish I'd known about this place sooner - this '10 LT is my third Malibu, following in the footsteps of a '98 LS and an '07 LTZ. They've been pretty solid cars, really - the only other problems I've had were when the '98 had an electrical problem that made it so it wouldn't turn more than 3,000 RPM (not good when you're trying to drive across Utah on a regular basis and it won't kick down in the mountains - took the dealer a good six months to figure out exactly what was going on) and the '07's propensity for going through brakes like it was going out of style.

It's possible all the concerns are related, definitely. I can't say I've been down that road on a 2.4 yet with MAP codes so I'll kind of generalize a little. The 5 volt reference for the MAP sensor is shared with APP sensor 2, The A/C pressure sensor and the FTP ( fuel tank pressure) sensor. One of those other sensors can pull the 5 volt reference circuit down and just the MAP DTC's set right now. The PCM is looking at the MAF sensor more for fuel delivery and the MAP sensor more or less is there as a backup to the MAF and for diagnostic purposes. There could be rodent chewed wires causing intermittent failure, wires rubbed through on something under the hood, poor terminal fit at any connector, lots of possibilities. With MAP sensor DTC's and a driveability issue and intermittent nature of the fault, I wouldn't rush to condemn the MAP sensor yet. You can look around and follow the harnesses under the hood and look for rubbed through wires shorting to something. Other than that, you're under warranty, take it back to the dealer and let them have a look at it.
