Radio help 08 classic

Hey everyone I need help bigtime I have recently bought a new radio for my 08 Malibu classic and I can not for the life of me find the radio wire harness that fits this car I bought the wire harness for 04-07 Malibu bc I was told they are the same but now looking at it I have my doubt's about it can anyone help me on this or give me a link or something that will help with this the one I got sent had 1 plug with all the wire besides the red power ignition is this correct th whole kit was the dash instal kit and wire harness my car does not have on star or anything like that this is the most confusing car I have owned I can barely find anything online for 08 classic I have been putting radios and doing work on my own cars since I was 16 and have had a lot of different makes and models but this car has me so confused plz help

I myself would take that harness back if its is not direct plug and play. Thats just me though. No reason they shouldnt take it back. But if you can take so e pics showing the connectors not being the correct ones.....might clear up the sales persons mistake ....saying it will work

Thats just how I would handle it

With computers adding even more complexity to modern cars, it's a wonder that anyone can keep 'em straight. Don't fret! Let's see what we can do to help.

The 2008 Classic is supposed to be a 2007 Malibu that was carried over as a 2008 model year vehicle, but with the introduction of the "official" 2008 as the Gen7, it became the 2008 Classic as a Gen6. The harnesses "should" be the same. If not, post a picture of your car from the outside as well as any images of the front and back of the radio that you can get plus the end of the harness(es) that plug into it.

With that kind of info, someone might be able to help you more.

I cant show the actual plug in the car bc I haven't got the new radio in yet so I haven't took the old 1 out to see the back I hope this info will help get me to the answers thanks to all for the info and help
