12v aux/lighter ports not working

The 12v aux/lighter ports on my 2011 2lt have stopped working (both of them). All other electrical systems seem to be fine. I tried replacing the fuse, #20 in the trunk(original looked fine), but that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas as to what to check next?

Re: 12v aux/lighter ports not working

Under the hood is a 60A fuse "RBEC 1, Fuse 22". It powers the Cig/Aux outlet as well as Bkup Lamps, Sunroof, RKE/XM, Heated Seats, R Wdo Defog, Digital Radio Receiver, Garage Door Opener, and the 120V Aux Power.

If ALL of those are inop, that 60A fuse has blown. If any one of them is working, then the 60A fuse is good.

After that 60A fuse, each circuit has a smaller fuse. The Cig/Aux outlet is, as you discovered, in the trunk, 20A, Fuse #20. It powers the 12V outlets as well as the 120V inverter for Aux Power.

The other thing to check might be the grounds, but first check your device that plugs into the Cig/Aux outlet, as many of them have a fuse under the tip. Many are accessed by unscrewing the little collar next to the spring-loaded tip, then carefully removing the tip and pulling out its fuse. Check it.

Sun roof and backup lights work just fine so it's not the 60A fuse. The device (tire pump) works fine in another car. I also tried a usb outlet in both ports and it didn't work. Voltmeter reads 0. Is there a common ground connection for both that I should look at?

Yes. It's G303 in the left kick panel. I assume that's the driver's front panel behind the parking brake.
