Ok,I'm new here,(& thanx for the greetings by the way) 2005 Bu Ls,3.5L,I've searched the forums & this may be overkill but maybe admin can help.First of all, cowl noise at highway speeds(it doesn't sit tight against the windsheild & vibrates),Next ....sway bar links, front, does anyone make a aftermarket part or do I have to fab my own(the rattling is driving me crazy)LOL & the factory ones are cheap & flimsy.I've also found recalls for the ps .Mine only does it at Idle,it will post a msg on the DIC,shut it off & restart the car & all is good,ps works again. One other thing, the woman that owned the car before me,scrapped all the black covering off the DIC buttons, with her finger nails. Can the buttons be replaced? If not,its not a problem,I can fix it.Thanx for your time,& this is a great site,& keep up the great work people,I'll be posting fixes as I get to them.Regardless of all the probs.....this car has some serious potential.

There used to be a bulletin for the rattle, but I cannot seem to find it. Basically it involved pulling up the wiper cowl and installing a piece of adhesive foam to the cowl where it meets the windshield. It seemed to take care of the issue pretty well.

Sway bar links can be bought aftermarket. Places like napa, car quest, autozone, etc. should carry them. I would try to get some that can be greased to avoid future problems. Not being able to grease them from the factory is the main reason they fail.

The power steering is more in depth and would require retrieving the codes stored to properly diagnose the issue. There are bulletins regarding it, but it depends on the codes stored.

The buttons loosing their covering is common and the buttons can be replaced. I would see if you can get any from a junkyard that are good, if not search the internet. I would use the dealer as a last resort since it will be expensive through them.

Since I don't believe I have said it, Welcome to CMF!
