08 LTZ audio install complete

Looks good. How is the factory alternator/battery handing the load of those subs/amp combo? Are you running a cap or 2nd battery? Stock alternator?

Nice! I'm always up in Grand Blanc...gonna be funny to see you at a light rattlin the crap out of my car . I had a system, but trunk space is irreplaceable so I sold my system and now I have the huge Malibu trunk!

I am running the Stock alternator. Its a 156 amp on the LTZ. I have a 4 farad cap hidden behind the amps. I can get on it with some serious juice at idle and not even a blink from the lights. I was pretty suprised as I thought the A1200 would seriously put the clamps on the electrical system.

As for trunk space, I dont need it. I have an 08 Yukon if I need to load something up.

nice work, so its running off of the factory head unit? did you use any sound deadening material?

yes I am running the factory HU into the Alpine processor and using it as the main controller. I did put some sound dampening in the roof area as it was a rattle trap behind the headliner. but not that much. The outside of the car has no rattles at all.

I know this is an old thread but what did u wrap the front of the box in to match the color to the interior? That's sick

That looks so beast! Wish I had the $$$ to do that! A wife and 2 kids = very little mods haha

I have a few questions.

1) Why did you go with JL?
2) Why didn't you just go with something like a bit-one from Audison instead of doing the dash modification?
3) have you got this sound tested?

honestly i used to love JL till i heard DD (Digital Design). ill stick with them unless they sale out... i just ordered a DD 2508 with carbon fiber dusk cap hooked up to a US amp XT4000D.
