My 08 ltz v6 changes gears hard at low speeds and the steering wheel makes vibrates when I turn the steering wheel. I was wondering has anyone else had this problem.

I have an 09 3.6 A6, No shifting problems at any speed and I have not experienced any steering issue with my Bu. I have 12K on it and drive a mix of city and hwy driving on some pretty crappy roads. I have seen some folks with 08 and 09's have had their dealer flash the trans to smooth out the shift points. Some are also have Intermediate steering shaft replacements. I have had many gm vehicles with ISS issues but the Malibu has been flawless.

My 2010 LTZ ecotec, A6 also shifts hard at low speeds, sometimes VERY hard, even after re-flash. The dealer implied it is caused by the way I drive : ) I got stuck in an icy traffic jam a few weeks ago and it was a near nightmare.

Mine has no issues. V6, A6, hydraulic power steering. Born in Kansas City.

I had the reflash, helped alot on mine. I also had the steering rack and intermediate shaft replaced. I was getting some clunking and weird noises. The clunking is gone, and the noises are much better. Still moans a little when it's cold and I'm moving very slow. But that is it, and that might be from the 20's.
