I have a 08 LTZ that has a ticking noise coming from a part on the top side of the engine. The part in mounted on a bracket on the engine at the back of the engine next to the firewall. It has what looks to be like a hose coming from the bottom of the engine and a hose or cable coming from the passenger side of the car. When you touch the part you can feel the tick. It seem to tick as the car warms up and can be heard with the hood closed. Could someone tell me what the part is with the very generic description above?

Just out of curiousity, have you talke with your local Chevrolet dealerhsip’s service department about getting this diagnosed?

I know that many of the members on this forum are very knowledgable too, but I just want to get more clarification of what avenues that you have researched.
