Hello all. I have recently purchased a super nice super clean 09 that I’m desperately trying to get straightened out. First off I thought it was caused by ESC /traction control. ESC said not active. After trouble shooting I replaced BPP sensor and had dealer recalibrate and do the 16188 fix I believe. It involved low voltage at BCM, and applying d grease. Bla bla. Anyway, brake lights are now functioning ESC not active is staying off and traction control is working. The problem.. sometimes and not always. Say 30% of the time it has a violent shaking as I release the gas pedal, it’s in Brakes as well. As soon as I apply the pedal it “usually” stops. Occasionally there is a shaking at all speeds. That problem is less severe and less often. The violent shaking as I release the pedal is almost not drivable. When this happens it is also in the brakes super bad. My issue is it’s not all the time. So it would have to be electrical rather than a mechanical .. I mean something causing this issue to mechanically appear. Not an unbalanced wheel or the regular shaking things. Almost like a sensor is idk how to explain it . Make my car feel like I’m on a shaker plate that’s going forward and backwards. Being that it not constant I’m at a loss. Pls advise if anyone has heard of this. Thx

If you feel it's an electronic problem, then a full shop level all 4-code families scan of the systems is step one.
2.4 4 cyl. cars have electronic power steering and that could be an issue there.

I’ve had them do that and to no avail.the E power steering could account for starting wheel. I was thinking somewhere in the abs system. I could see a warped rotor causing it if it did it every time. But just when I let off steering wheel or hit the brakes is what I do t understand. Also, that it doesn’t do it all the time?

I’m apologize I need to check before I post. It’s not when I let off steering wheel. It’s when I let off gas pedal or hit the brakes. Also, it’s like I said intermittent. I can think of things that would cause this if it were constantly doing it. But occasionally and even occasionally making it not drivable
