Do you think Chevy will introduce a new color scheme or a solid leather color for 2010 on the LTZ models of Malibu? I have met a few people that love the LTZ, but can not get over the color choice so they have settled for a 2LT. I believe if they did add a new color they would be able to sell more LTZs.
That's FAR too long off to guess at now. As nothing changed for 2009, it's really up in the air if anything does for next year, but it will be the 3rd year and quite possible interior schemes do change a little by then.

The comments about the LTZ and lack of choice are not uncommon, and steer quite a few people to the 2LT. My mother wished she could have had full leather in a solid color--a la, an LTZ but not 2 tone--but didn't want a V6 and couldn't stomach the Brick/Black or Cocoa.

I enjoy both the LTZ interiors, but really also hope there's more choice before long. Nothing will happen this second model year, but we'll see next spring what may happen for #3. There's about 5 solid choices I'd like, but 2-3 choices max is the norm.

How long does Chevy expect to have this vehicle out before changing the body again?
Good question. It was actually originally supposed to be a shorter run of maybe 3-4 years with the Epsilon II (next gen of platform) version then out, but they pushed that back a bit for now. I'd say bet on it being a 5 year cycle in current form and maybe 4 if the original next design is bumped up.

Year 3 should see some more changes than there has been, such as interior details and maybe some other touches like wheels--all just guessing based on other GM model runs--but it's still far off to see.

i just hope it holds a decent trade in value... i only plan to keep mine for about a year...

the GM pricing isn't helping, but hopefully after September they pull that stuff...
It should, as the rental/fleet sales of them is next to nothing anymore compared to what it was with the last gen cars and, aside from the current employee pricing, there's still very little in the way of discounts. The 'Bu seems to be doing quite well in this regard so far, having seen quite a few used '08s now, and definitely better than things like the Aura, Impala, etc. at GM.

But time will tell.
