Hi everyone, my name is Gary. I am a newbie to this forum and hoping you guys could help me to solve the headlight problem.

I am planning to buy a HID kit and get it installed to my low beam. I don't bother to cut the DRL and will be using the HID for my day time driving. But I found that every time when I turn on high beam, the low beam will be turned off. High beam is essential for a short period of time while driving on the highway at night so that I can see road signs ahead. And I don't want my HID low beam to turn on and off very often because of the high beam. So is there anything I can do such that my low beam can remain on while high beam in on?

Thanks for your reply. The website makes a very good reference for the mod. But I still wonder how can I connect my stock wire to the relay. Do I need to cut my stock wire and connect both ends to the relay?

Two possibilities you may want to look into is tapping into the highbeam wire and hardwiring to the battery and multifunction switch.
