hey guys. the girl next door just bought a 2000 Malibu with a 3.1 engine, and 120k miles on it Friday night for $2000 as is..
it had 1/4 tank showing on the gas gauge, so she stopped on the way home and put $20 in it. when she started it up the gauge did not register, and has stayed on empty since. is there a fuse for the gas gauge??
also the check engine light flashed on her 2 times today, and i pulled a P0410 code, even though the CEL was out.
do you think this is an air injector pump sensor problem, or may just be due to the fact the car has been sitting for 3 months?
i am a diesel mechanic by trade, and am not up to all the new car stuff.
