2000 Chevy Malibu, 110k. it shakes while it is idling and when i'm coming to a stop, and when I park it, it has a burning smell coming from under the hood? Also gas smell from the tailpipe. The check engine light is not on. But I have had a p0341 and p0300 code in the past. While i'm driving it has a loud rumbling noise to it.

That's not a lot of miles for a car that turned 20 this year. With code PO341, it could be a number of things. It basically means
the engine control module (ECM) detected the engine camshaft position sensor circuit is not within specifications. The sensor pulses do not correlate to the pulses of the crankshaft sensor.
Timing (chain or belt)
Sensor(s)
Wiring to sensor(s)
ECM itself (unlikely, but possible)
Battery charge too low
Spark plugs
Coils
Injectors
Grunge on the intake valves
O2 sensor(s)
Cat plugged, burned out, or inop due to pollutants

And since it's a 3.1L, check the LIM gaskets. They are a common point of failure.
