My gauges/dash lights have been kind of crazy lately. While driving, all of them except for the Tach, Speedo, Odometer, and turn signals will "die." The check engine light isn't lit, but Service Vehicle soon, air bags, seat belt, parking brake are. Everything else electrical in the car is working fine, and it runs like a champ. In the past, the gauges all lit back up and worked properly after a while, but then would die again eventually. Since the last death of them, they have been off for 3 days now. I tried to replace the BCM, and the gauges would light up fine, but the car wouldn't start. I read that when replacing the BCM I have to let the passlock learn the new setup by leaving the car in the "on" position until the "theft system" light went solid, but even this did not help.
Can I fix the stock BCM, or is there a way to disable the theft system and still allow the new BCM to start the car? or am I lost without gauges for eternity?
as a side note, not sure if it matters: car has ~142,000 on the odo, gets ~31mpg highway fully loaded down (I travel about 33,000 miles/year) and is all stock other than a head unit and 2 amp stereo system.

Any and all feedback is GREATLY appreciated.
