Hey, I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx. My steering feels "clunky" at low speeds. Like when it's centered and i turn it left and right it almost feels loose(like there is a dead spot). Also when traveling over loose gravel at low speeds the suspension kind of feels loose also.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jesse, I have a 08 LTZ that has same problem. Along with a bunch of other owners of malibu's. They say it is a (Intermedit steering shaft) that is the problem, I hear it more when pulling in & out of my driveway! As for myself, I have 42.000 on my Malibu. I live in Ohio and go to N.C. alot for my son's family. My son is in Iraq. Chevy is aware of this problem and is working on a recall for it! They told me it would cost me 800+ to fix it since it is out of warentee. Keep pressure on chevy and hope they will resolve this issue soon.
