Adjusting my mirror and it broke off in my hands

The plastic female portion of the pivot assembly that attaches to the windshield cracked and broke off. I tried gluing it back together, but it won't hold.

I guess I need a new mirror assembly. Are all 5 & 6 Gen Malibu rear view mirrors mounted the same ?

Any suggestions ?

Depending on the options (Onstar,map lights, compass, temperature) all mirrors are attached to the windshield in the same way with the same connectors. Did you break the metal mount off the glass? If not, any mirror from nearly any manufacturer will interchange. They make a glue to reattach the mirror base if you broke that off as well.

It's just the standard mirror with no bells and whistles and the metal tab is still stuck to the windshield so I just need a mirror.

You should be able to get one at nearly any good auto parts store. O'Reilly's auto parts has one locally for about $14.00

Go to Walmart and get a new one around $20. the dealers ask for $114.

Problem solved.......picked one up at a Auto Parts store for $20
