Hey guys,

My son is looking at a 2006 Malibu LT 2.2L with 69,000 miles selling for $8,995 and they are willing to take $8000 for it. Does this sound like a good deal? Does anybody own one/how do you like it? Any info would be great. Thanks!

KBB.com is Kelley Blue Book. They say the '06 LT 2.2 w/69,000 and standard features selected is worth the following

Condition . . . . Value
Excellent .. . . . $8430
Good . . . . . . . $7805
Fair . . . . . . . . $6805

The equipment and condition will change the value.

If you're buying it from a dealer then that will probably raise the numbers, since what I quoted above is for private sale.

If you go to Black Book .com and let them email you with the results you might get a different result.

He is buying from a dealer so I think he is getting a fair deal. He did check on the Value and told me it was below book Value and many dealers are selling them in that $ amount or more. I thought I would just ask here and see what everyone thought. I have seen this car online and it looks like it is in mint condition. Two things they are currently fixing on the car before they sell it to him is the Steering column needs to be replace and a electric window component on one of the doors. Thanks
