Can anyone tell me if the 2007 Chevy Malibu LTZ is equiped with TMPS? I have noticed the icon on the dash when I shine a light on it but I cannot find any information about setting the sensors if they I have them.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Malibu ZTD TPMS

Do you mean LTZ Malibu? If so yes, they are located in the tires/wheels and as for setting them there is no need to do so unless you have rotated the tires. All you would need to do is follow the reset procedure so that the car knows where each sensor is now located.

Yes I mean LTZ. I just had the tires rotated and I wanted to make sure that the TPMS are set correctly but I don't know the reset procedures for the 07 Malibu LTZ. There is nothing in the DIC menu for tpms.

Now that I think about it I'm sorta stumped! I can't recall if the previous generation was equipped with it or not. You say you can see the light on the dash but can't access it through the DIC right?

The easiest way to find out if you do is see if it comes on, deflate one of the tires (make sure you have access to an air compressor to re-inflate it) whille the car is on.

What Silver said. I remember the monitoring system being based on slight rotational speed differences between wheels. The TPMS transmitters and RCDLR setup started showing up on the 2008 MY Malibu.
