hello, has any one had a problem with a single knock when turning the steering whell to the left or right? i am not sure if it could be th erack and pinin or ct joints, but i have no clanking. any help would be apprecaied.

Sorry, the car is a four cylinder sedan LS. with the single knock on the front suspension system i am wondering if this is safe to drive for now or will it get worse?

I think the problem is arguably one of annoyance rather than safety. But, I would be concerned until I was certain that that's all it is. You should get it looked at to make sure it's not something serious since a lot of problems in the front end can sound similar.

we had a similar knock. I sprayed the universal joint in the steering shaft behind the transmission with rust check spray. Im sure a good spray lubricant would work as well. The knock has been gone for several years now. This car had been back to the dealer several times, then never could solve it.
