2008 Malibu. About to replace rear brake pads and rotors. What’s the correct and/or center point to use a hydraulic Jack and lift ? And then I’m guessing the Jack stands sit near the rear tires. Any tips? illustrations? 2 chocks per front tire? Things to be careful with? THX !

I jack on the frame near where the suspension attaches. A jack stand can go under another place like that. Chock each front tire so it prevents it from rolling away from the jack, which means just one per tire. If you have 2 chocks, put both on one tire and you'll have both directions of movement prevented. Share the car once you have it resting on the jack stands to be sure it's secure.
