This car did not come with any tint on the top part of the windshield and it's driving me crazy. Does anyone know a good (PA Legal) solution for this that won't look tacky?

Thx

Or order one online... Under $20 with shipping on ebay i think. A razor and some soap(small amount!) and water and it should be pretty straightforward.

did it myself with a film strip kit for about 15$, not a big deal works best with two people though. rule of thumb is that you dont go below the mirror mount. your windshiels may hav a small line marked abs1 and an arrow in the upper corner, usually on the passenger side. you can not legally tint below this line. you definately cant tint the bottom of the windshield which i have seen on the street as well. the job goes easier if you remove the mirror from the mount (set screw) but leave the mounting plate on the glass.

I've seen that mark on so many windshields and just never paid it any mind. That's neat to know, and helpful, too! When I had mine tinted I asked the shop about the shade and they said they wouldn't trim it to follow the top of the windshield contour, but instead it would be a straight edge that would appear to droop at the sides. I didn't want that for my car so I decided to save $25. How hard was it to get it to look right? Got any pics? Please?

I've seen kits on eBay for +/- $20.

$20 at a shop is a really good price too. I would only do it if it looked like there was meant to be tint though, no half-fast jobs!

And also, I know in MA you can only have tint down 6 inches of your windshield from the top.
