Anyone have problem with what appears to be insulation or soundproofing sticking out at the base of the rear window? It appears to be held in place by adhesive on one side but has bunched up and shifted. Obviously it is located inside the vehicle but is visible from both inside and outside the car.

I searched the other threads and couldn't find anything. This is my first post. Thanks.

Rear window - you mean the one at the rear of the car, not one of the windows on the rear doors, right?

There's a solid liner right at the back of the shelf up against the window (in mine, anyhow). If there's something bunched up then it could be some headliner that has sagged or some insulation (like you say) that is exposed. If you're still under the 3/36 warranty, take it in and have them make it right. If not, it can't hurt to check it out yourself.

There is a service bulletin out on this problem (09-08-110-001A)

It is covered by the 3/36 warranty but not outside of it.

Basically it is replacing the adhesive-backed sponge rubber weatherstrip material installed on the rear shelf.

Our 4cy ltz did this.. We took it in and they replaced it. The foam bunches up and sticks out and you can see it between the end of the back dash and window
