I thought all malibus came with onstar. The one i'm looking at, the dealer said doesn't have the console on the rear view mirror. I was hoping it at least had onstar so I could buy the bluetooth (third party), that replaces the one module.

I test drove one as well, an '08 that didn't have the console on the rear view mirror. I goto chevy's website and see that it's suppose to be 'standard'. I'm thinking because it might have been a rental car? Do the rental companies order them without the onstar?

I'm confused, can anyone give some advice? I'm suppose to be buying my malibu tomorrow.

I thought all chevy vehicles in general come standard with onstar for 1 year. seems a little fishy

Same here, but I've seen and like I said test drove a malibu that didn't have it. And these are the new style malibus, not the classic version.

For example look at the one I'm suppose to be getting tomorrow. The one picture shows a tiny bit of the rear view mirror. Notice how it doesn't have the onstar.

is it new or used? the only ones without onstar were the ones specially ordered without it, and fleet cars.

It's used, and assumed its a rental. The autocheck only shows 2 entries, which is strange.
