As the title says, I'm having an issue where my car will rough idle after I get off the highway and return to city speeds. Stalled today at a red light, but cranked right back up and got home like normal. Just wondering if anyone can tell me the possible cause(s) and what I can do to fix it.

Top speed 80 mph on the highway and rough idles at red lights after going around 35-45 mph in the city. Normally rests at ~700 RPM, jumps to 1500, down below 500, and back up a few times. I usually rev the engine and it returns to normal, but today I let it keep happening to see what would happen and it stalled. Also worth noting; whenever I fill my gas tank up all the way, the car doesn't start normally. I have to wait 10-30 minutes before starting it up, unless I press the gas pedal as I turn the key (I don't know if that's bad habit or not, but it works). Possibly related?

I have to wonder if maybe you have water in the gas.

Start with getting the codes scanned and then share the codes here.

Diagnosis via the inter-webs is sometimes inaccurate, but....

The symptoms you have described are often the result of a defective Evap purge valve. Inexpensive, readily available and easy to replace. An original GM part is recommended. Youtube has many how to videos on this subject.
Probable part is here... More Information for ACDELCO 2141680

No guarantee this is the fix.

Possible 2 issues at once. Purge valve and dirty throttle body says my crystal ball. Code scan is in order first. Crystal ball sometimes get cloudy though.
